Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced EA Sports FC Playtest Lead with a strong management focus to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and analysis of playtests for the EA Sports FC franchise. You will manage a team of playtesters, ensuring the highest quality feedback is gathered and effectively communicated to development teams. This role requires a deep understanding of football gaming, a keen eye for detail, and excellent leadership skills to guide testers and improve game quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of playtesters, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluation.
  • Design and implement comprehensive playtest plans for various stages of game development for EA Sports FC.
  • Oversee the execution of playtest sessions, ensuring all objectives are met and data is accurately recorded.
  • Analyze playtest data and compile detailed reports, identifying key issues, bugs, and areas for improvement.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations effectively to development teams, producers, and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with game designers, engineers, and quality assurance teams to prioritize and address feedback.
  • Continuously refine playtest methodologies and tools to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of EA Sports FC game mechanics, features, and player experience.
  • Foster a positive and productive environment for the playtest team.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance, playtesting, or game development, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Profound knowledge and passion for football/soccer and the EA Sports FC franchise.
  • Proven ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify critical issues.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting complex information clearly.
  • Proficiency in playtest data collection, analysis, and reporting tools.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Game Design, Computer Science, Communications).
  • Experience with various gaming platforms (PC, console, mobile).
  • Familiarity with project management software (e.g., Jira, Trello).
  • Prior experience working on sports titles or live service games.
  • Understanding of user experience (UX) principles in game design.
