Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient outcomes.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Monitor and record vital signs, symptoms, and medical information, maintaining accurate patient records.
- Educate patients and their families on health conditions, medications, and self-care techniques.
- Respond to medical emergencies and assist with life-saving procedures.
- Maintain a clean and safe patient environment, adhering to infection control policies.
- Document all aspects of patient care thoroughly and accurately in electronic health records.
- Adhere to all facility policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
Required Skills
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California (or compact state eligibility)
- Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care experience (e.g., Med-Surg, Telemetry, ICU, ER)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (if applicable to specialty)
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to new healthcare environments and EMR systems
- Proficiency in administering medications and performing nursing procedures
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree
- Specialty certifications (e.g., PALS, NRP, CEN, CCRN)
- Experience with various Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- Prior travel nursing experience
