Job Description
Are you a high-energy individual with a passion for fitness and a knack for sound and technology? GoodLife Fitness is seeking a dynamic Fitness Class Marshall to ensure our group fitness classes run seamlessly, from pristine sound quality to perfect tech setup. This role is crucial in creating an electrifying and immersive experience for our Members, managing all audio-visual aspects, and providing enthusiastic support to instructors. Key Responsibilities
- Set up and tear down all audio-visual equipment for group fitness classes, including microphones, sound systems, and projection equipment.
- Ensure optimal sound quality and volume levels throughout each class, making real-time adjustments as needed.
- Troubleshoot any technical issues promptly and efficiently to minimize disruption to classes.
- Provide support to Group Fitness Instructors with music playback, lighting adjustments, and other technical requirements.
- Maintain inventory and proper functioning of all AV equipment, reporting any necessary repairs or replacements.
- Foster a positive and energetic atmosphere, assisting Members and instructors as needed before and after classes.
- Ensure the studio environment is clean, safe, and ready for use.
- Adhere to all GoodLife Fitness operational policies and safety protocols.
Required Skills
- Proven experience with audio-visual equipment setup and operation, including mixers, microphones, and sound systems.
- Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills for quick troubleshooting.
- High energy, enthusiastic, and positive attitude.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
- Physical ability to lift and move AV equipment (up to 25 lbs).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a fitness club, live event, or theatrical setting.
- Knowledge of various group fitness formats and music genres.
- A passion for fitness and a healthy lifestyle.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
