Job Description
Join Publix as a Supermarket Trolley Auditor and become an essential part of our team, ensuring our customers have a smooth and enjoyable shopping experience from the moment they arrive. This active, outdoor role involves maintaining the cleanliness, functionality, and availability of shopping trolleys across our store premises. You’ll be responsible for conducting regular inspections, organizing trolleys, and performing minor adjustments, all while staying active and working outdoors in various weather conditions. This position is perfect for someone who enjoys physical work, has a keen eye for detail, and takes pride in contributing to a well-organized and customer-friendly environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily inspections of all shopping trolleys for cleanliness, damage, and proper functionality.
- Efficiently collect and organize trolleys from parking lots and designated areas, returning them to store entrances.
- Perform basic maintenance tasks, such as tightening loose parts or cleaning soiled trolleys.
- Report any major trolley damage or maintenance needs to the appropriate department.
- Ensure an adequate supply of clean and functional trolleys is consistently available for customer use at all store entrances.
- Assist customers with trolley-related inquiries or issues in a friendly and helpful manner.
- Work proactively to identify and address any trolley-related hazards or inefficiencies.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company guidelines while performing duties, especially when working in parking lots and outdoor areas.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including walking, standing, pushing, pulling, and occasional lifting for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify maintenance issues quickly.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- Good communication skills to interact with customers and team members.
- Punctuality and reliability.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions (heat, cold, rain).
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a retail or outdoor service environment.
