Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Junior Natural Gas Analyst to join our Business Research team. This entry-level position is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career professional with a strong interest in the energy sector, particularly natural gas markets. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting strategic business decisions through comprehensive data analysis, market research, and report generation. You will gain invaluable experience in a dynamic industry, contributing to critical projects that impact our operations and customer base. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth research on natural gas market trends, supply/demand dynamics, pricing, and regulatory developments.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret large datasets related to natural gas production, consumption, storage, and transportation.
- Assist in the preparation of detailed reports, presentations, and forecasts for internal stakeholders, supporting business development and strategic planning.
- Monitor competitor activities and industry innovations, identifying potential impacts and opportunities for the company.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including trading, operations, and finance, to provide analytical support.
- Develop and maintain databases and analytical models to enhance market intelligence capabilities.
- Stay informed about geopolitical events and their potential influence on global and regional natural gas markets.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in data manipulation and interpretation.
- Excellent research abilities, including experience with market intelligence tools and databases.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables) and PowerPoint.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting complex information clearly.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Demonstrated interest in the energy sector, particularly natural gas.
Preferred Qualifications
