Job Description
Are you a dynamic and engaging individual with a passion for connecting with young people? IXL Learning is seeking an enthusiastic Online Virtual Host to lead webinars and events specifically designed for 15-year-old teens. In this remote role, you will be the face and voice of our online programs, responsible for creating an interactive, educational, and fun environment. You will facilitate discussions, guide activities, and ensure a positive experience for all participants as they explore various topics through our platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Host live online webinars and interactive events tailored for 15-year-old teens.
- Engage participants through polls, Q&A sessions, breakout rooms, and other interactive features.
- Facilitate discussions on educational topics, current events, and skill-building relevant to teens.
- Manage the virtual environment, including technical troubleshooting for participants as needed.
- Collaborate with content creators and program managers to ensure seamless event execution.
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and safe online space for all attendees.
- Provide post-event feedback and reports to improve future programs.
Required Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to engage and connect with teenage audiences.
- Proficiency with virtual meeting platforms (e.g., Zoom, Google Meet) and interactive tools.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- A positive, energetic, and patient demeanor.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Communications, or a related field.
- Experience in youth leadership, coaching, mentoring, or teaching.
- Familiarity with K-12 educational technology and online learning environments.
- Basic knowledge of graphic design or video editing for virtual event enhancements.
