Job Description

Are you passionate about video games? Do you have an eagle eye for detail and a knack for finding bugs? Electronic Arts (EA) is seeking enthusiastic Entry Level Playtesters to join our dynamic team. No prior experience is required – we’ll provide all the training you need to succeed. Key Responsibilities

  • Execute test plans and identify software defects, glitches, and usability issues in pre-release games.
  • Document bugs clearly and concisely in a bug tracking system, including steps to reproduce, expected results, and actual results.
  • Provide constructive feedback on game mechanics, difficulty, user interface, and overall player experience.
  • Collaborate with development teams to verify bug fixes and ensure the quality of game updates.
  • Adhere to strict confidentiality protocols regarding unreleased game content.
  • Participate in daily team meetings to discuss progress and challenges.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current gaming trends and platforms.

Required Skills

  • Profound passion for video games across various genres and platforms.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to spot subtle inconsistencies.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Basic computer proficiency and ability to navigate software applications.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Reliable high-speed internet connection and a personal computer/console setup suitable for testing.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with various gaming platforms (PC, console, mobile).
  • Familiarity with bug tracking software (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla) is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a quality assurance or testing role (personal or professional).
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings or weekends, if required for specific projects.
