Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Sales & Marketing to lead our commercial efforts at one of our prestigious hotels in Scunthorpe. This pivotal role involves developing and executing strategic sales and marketing plans to drive revenue growth, enhance brand visibility, and achieve occupancy targets. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the hospitality market, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record in exceeding sales objectives. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales and marketing strategies to achieve revenue and market share goals.
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing sales and marketing team.
- Identify new business opportunities and cultivate strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.
- Oversee the development and execution of all marketing campaigns, including digital marketing, PR, and promotional activities.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to adapt strategies accordingly.
- Manage the sales budget, ensuring effective resource allocation and return on investment.
- Collaborate closely with the General Manager and other department heads to ensure alignment with overall hotel objectives.
- Represent the hotel at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions.
- Prepare regular reports on sales performance, market conditions, and future projections.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in sales and marketing leadership roles within the hospitality industry.
- Demonstrable track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Strong understanding of hotel revenue management principles and strategies.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools.
- Ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.
- Strategic thinker with a results-oriented approach.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- Experience working with international markets and visa sponsorship processes.
- Familiarity with the Scunthorpe and Lincolnshire regional market.
- Multilingual abilities are a plus.
