Job Description

Are you passionate about sound and eager to start your career in the media industry? iHeartMedia is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Audio Assistant to join our dynamic team in New Port Richey. This entry-level position is perfect for someone with little to no prior experience who is keen to learn the ins and outs of audio production, editing, and studio operations from seasoned professionals. You’ll gain hands-on experience supporting our audio engineers, producers, and on-air talent, contributing to various projects that reach a wide audience. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist audio engineers and producers with daily studio operations and equipment setup.
  • Learn and apply basic audio recording, editing, and mixing techniques.
  • Help maintain and organize audio archives and equipment inventory.
  • Provide support during live broadcasts, podcast recordings, and production sessions.
  • Troubleshoot minor technical issues with audio equipment.
  • Prepare studio spaces for various production needs.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and project delivery.
  • Undertake administrative tasks as required to support the audio department.
  • Continuously learn about new audio technologies and industry best practices.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong interest and passion for audio production and sound technology.
  • Eagerness to learn and a proactive attitude.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency (Windows/Mac OS).
