Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Policy Professional to join our dynamic team. This is a crucial role for individuals passionate about influencing public policy and driving impactful change across various sectors. As a Policy Professional, you will conduct in-depth research, analyze policy proposals, develop strategic recommendations, and engage with stakeholders to advance our clients’ objectives. This role demands exceptional communication skills, a keen understanding of legislative processes, and the ability to translate complex policy issues into actionable insights. This position is 100% remote, allowing you to contribute from anywhere within the USA.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive research and analysis on a wide range of policy issues relevant to our clients.
- Monitor legislative and regulatory developments at federal, state, and local levels.
- Develop policy briefs, reports, presentations, and other communication materials for internal and external audiences.
- Formulate strategic recommendations and actionable policy solutions for clients.
- Engage with policymakers, industry leaders, advocacy groups, and other key stakeholders.
- Collaborate with internal teams to integrate policy insights into broader consulting projects.
- Represent Deloitte in public forums, conferences, and stakeholder meetings when required.
- Contribute to thought leadership pieces and policy discussions within the firm.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in policy research, analysis, or advocacy.
- Strong understanding of legislative and regulatory processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to synthesize complex information clearly.
- Demonstrated ability to think critically and strategically about policy challenges.
- Proficiency in data analysis and presentation tools.
- Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Economics, Law, or a related field.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's or Ph.D. in a relevant discipline (e.g., Public Policy, Law, International Relations).
- Experience working in government, a legislative body, a think tank, or a consulting firm focused on policy.
- Familiarity with specific policy areas such as healthcare, technology, environmental policy, or national security.
- Experience with stakeholder engagement and coalition building.
- Project management experience.
