Job Description
We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Restaurant Service Staff to join our team at a bustling High Street location in Sheffield. As a key member of our front-of-house team, you will be responsible for ensuring our guests receive outstanding service from the moment they walk through our doors. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about hospitality, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and want to contribute to a beloved brand. You’ll work closely with our kitchen and management teams to deliver an unforgettable dining experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests with a friendly and positive attitude
- Present menus, answer questions, and make recommendations regarding food and beverages
- Accurately take food and drink orders and relay them to the kitchen staff
- Serve food and beverages in a timely and professional manner
- Ensure tables are clean, properly set, and maintained throughout service
- Handle guest inquiries and resolve any service issues efficiently and courteously
- Process payments accurately and efficiently
- Assist with opening and closing duties, including cleaning and restocking
- Maintain a clean and organised dining area and work station
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service operations
Required Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong customer service orientation with a proactive attitude
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 15 kg
- A positive and enthusiastic approach to teamwork
- Attention to detail and accuracy in order taking and payment processing
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (6+ months) in a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
- Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems
