Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive High School Customer Liaison to join our team in Chattanooga. This unique role focuses on building strong relationships and facilitating seamless communication with high school students, parents, and school staff primarily through non-phone channels such as email, text, social media platforms, and in-person interactions. The ideal candidate will be a compassionate, organized, and tech-savvy individual passionate about supporting youth development and educational success. You will act as a crucial link, ensuring information flows effectively, addressing inquiries, and promoting program engagement without relying on traditional phone calls.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for high school students, parents, and school faculty for inquiries and support, utilizing email, text, social media, and in-person methods.
- Proactively engage with high school students to provide information about programs, events, and opportunities, ensuring high levels of participation.
- Develop and maintain strong, positive relationships with local high schools, counselors, and community partners.
- Manage and respond to all non-phone communications promptly and professionally, maintaining accurate records of interactions.
- Assist in the coordination and promotion of workshops, events, and educational initiatives targeted at high school students.
- Collect feedback from students and stakeholders to identify areas for program improvement and enhanced engagement.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging and support for high school programming.
- Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of all Boys & Girls Clubs programs and resources available to high school youth.
Required Skills
- Exceptional written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in digital communication platforms (email, text, social media).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated empathy and patience when working with youth and families.
- Basic proficiency with CRM software or database management.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Work, Communications, or a related field.
- 1+ years of experience in youth development, community outreach, or customer service (non-phone focus preferred).
- Familiarity with the Chattanooga educational landscape and community resources.
- Bilingual abilities (especially Spanish) are a plus.
