Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous and dedicated Payroll Admin Assistant with a strong finance focus to join our team in North Scottsdale. This role is crucial for ensuring accurate and timely weekly payroll processing for our employees. You will play a vital role in maintaining payroll records, assisting with reconciliations, and providing exceptional support to our finance department. Key Responsibilities

  • Process weekly payroll for a specified number of employees, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate payroll records, including new hires, terminations, changes in pay rates, and deductions.
  • Assist with payroll reconciliations and prepare related financial reports for the finance department.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding paychecks, deductions, and other payroll-related matters in a professional and timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations.
  • Support the finance team with various administrative tasks and ad-hoc projects as needed.
  • Collaborate with HR and other departments to ensure seamless information flow for payroll processing.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Workday, etc.)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reconciliation processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis and reporting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) or a willingness to obtain it.
  • Prior experience in a high-volume payroll environment or a finance-focused administrative role.
  • Familiarity with financial reporting tools and large-scale ERP systems.
