Job Description
This entry-level, part-time position is perfect for a high school student looking for weekend work without needing a driver’s license. As a Delivery Helper, you will play a crucial role in supporting our delivery drivers and overall store operations, ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable work experience, learn about customer service in a retail setting, and contribute to a busy, energetic team environment. You will assist with various tasks including packaging orders, loading vehicles, and potentially assisting with local, non-driving deliveries (e.g., walking/cycling for very short distances within the immediate vicinity, or assisting a licensed driver on a delivery route).
Key Responsibilities
- Assist delivery drivers with loading and unloading customer orders efficiently.
- Ensure accurate packaging and labeling of food items, including pizzas, sides, and drinks.
- Help prepare orders for dispatch, verifying completeness and quality.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the delivery staging area and other assigned store sections.
- Provide excellent customer service during in-store interactions or at customer's doorsteps while accompanying a driver.
- Communicate effectively with team members, management, and customers.
- Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and company operational guidelines.
- Assist with general store duties as needed, such as light cleaning or restocking.

- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods.

- Familiarity with the Uptown Charlotte area.
- Ability to work flexible weekend hours, including evenings.
