Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Junior App Developer with a keen interest in the streaming media space, particularly focused on platforms like Netflix. This remote role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of engaging mobile applications for both iOS and Android platforms. You will work within a dynamic team, gaining hands-on experience with modern mobile development frameworks, contributing to all phases of the software development lifecycle, and learning best practices in creating robust, scalable, and user-friendly applications. This position is 100% remote.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and deploy features for iOS and Android applications under the guidance of senior developers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and QA engineers, to define, design, and ship new features.
- Assist in debugging and resolving issues across mobile platforms.
- Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge.
- Research and evaluate new mobile technologies and industry trends, especially those relevant to streaming platforms.
- Contribute to the optimization of application performance and responsiveness.
- Write and maintain technical documentation.
Required Skills
- Familiarity with either Swift/Objective-C (for iOS) or Kotlin/Java (for Android).
- Basic understanding of mobile application development lifecycle.
- Knowledge of RESTful APIs and asynchronous programming.
- Proficiency with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with Flutter or React Native for cross-platform development.
- Familiarity with UI/UX principles for mobile applications.
- Personal projects or open-source contributions, especially related to streaming, media, or video playback.
- Understanding of agile development methodologies.
