Job Description

We are seeking enthusiastic and detail-oriented Part-time Game Testers to join our Quality Assurance team in Houston, TX. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about video games to contribute directly to the development of high-quality titles. You will be responsible for meticulously testing games across various platforms, identifying bugs, and providing constructive feedback to ensure an exceptional player experience. This role guarantees 15-20 hours per week, perfect for students or those seeking flexible part-time work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute test plans and test cases across multiple game platforms (PC, console, mobile).
  • Identify, document, and track bugs, glitches, and design flaws in a clear and concise manner.
  • Provide detailed and accurate feedback on game mechanics, usability, and overall player experience.
  • Verify bug fixes and perform regression testing.
  • Collaborate effectively with developers, designers, and other QA team members.
  • Adhere to strict testing schedules and deliver high-quality results.
  • Contribute to the improvement of testing processes and tools.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding unreleased game content.

Required Skills

  • Strong passion for video games and an understanding of various game genres.
  • Excellent attention to detail and observation skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
  • Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with bug tracking software (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla) is a plus.
  • Ability to work 15-20 hours per week, including some evenings and weekends as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in game testing or quality assurance.
  • Familiarity with different gaming platforms (PC, Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, mobile).
  • Knowledge of game development cycles and methodologies.
  • Experience with various software testing techniques.
