Job Description
Are you passionate about technology policy and eager to make an impact? Join Intel’s dynamic Public Affairs team as a Policy Intern for our paid summer remote program. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the world of corporate policy, public affairs, and government relations at one of the world’s leading technology companies. You will contribute to critical projects, research emerging policy issues, and support our advocacy efforts on a global scale. This program is designed for students seeking to develop their analytical, research, and communication skills while understanding the intersection of technology and public policy. This is a 100% remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere in the United States.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth research on emerging technology policy issues, including AI, data privacy, cybersecurity, and supply chain resilience.
- Support the development of policy briefs, white papers, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitor legislative and regulatory developments at the state, federal, and international levels.
- Assist in preparing for meetings with government officials, industry associations, and non-profit organizations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across legal, engineering, and business units to align policy strategies.
- Provide administrative support to the Public Affairs team as needed.
Required Skills
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Political Science, Public Policy, International Relations, Law, Economics, or a related field.
- Demonstrated strong research and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous internship experience in government, non-profit, think tank, or corporate public affairs.
- Familiarity with technology policy issues.
- Experience with policy analysis tools or databases.
