Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Fertility Nurse (RN) to join our professional IVF Clinic team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in guiding patients through their fertility journey, providing expert clinical care, education, and emotional support. This position requires a dedicated professional with a strong understanding of reproductive endocrinology and infertility treatments, particularly in an IVF setting. You will be an integral part of a multidisciplinary team, ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and education to individuals and couples undergoing fertility treatments, including IVF, IUI, and other assisted reproductive technologies.
- Perform patient assessments, administer medications, and monitor treatment cycles under the direction of fertility specialists.
- Coordinate and schedule patient appointments, procedures, and diagnostic tests.
- Educate patients on medication administration, treatment protocols, and potential side effects.
- Offer emotional support and counseling to patients throughout their fertility journey.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in electronic health systems.
- Assist physicians with in-office procedures and ensure a sterile and safe environment.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training to stay current with advancements in fertility care.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, embryologists, and other clinic staff to optimize patient outcomes.
Required Skills
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
- Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, preferably in a women's health or acute care setting
- Strong understanding of reproductive anatomy, physiology, and infertility treatments
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient education skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and emotionally sensitive environment
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems
- BLS certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience specifically in a fertility clinic or IVF center
- Certification in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Nursing (RNC-REI)
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
