Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and imaginative Junior Xbox UI Designer with a dedicated focus on player interface to join our growing remote team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with senior designers, engineers, and product managers to craft intuitive, aesthetically pleasing, and highly functional user interfaces for upcoming Xbox titles. This is an exceptional opportunity for an emerging talent to contribute directly to the player experience on a global scale. You will be instrumental in translating game design concepts into engaging visual and interactive elements, ensuring every interaction feels seamless and responsive for our diverse player base. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and implementation of user interface elements, including menus, HUDs, inventory systems, and interactive prompts, specifically for the Xbox platform.
- Collaborate with senior designers to translate game features and player needs into clear, intuitive, and engaging UI solutions.
- Create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to visualize and test UI concepts.
- Participate in user research and usability testing, gathering feedback to inform design iterations.
- Work closely with engineering teams to ensure technical feasibility and successful implementation of UI designs.
- Maintain consistency with established Xbox brand guidelines and visual styles.
- Contribute to the ongoing refinement of UI/UX best practices within the studio.
- Stay informed about industry trends, design tools, and emerging UI technologies.
Required Skills
- Basic proficiency in UI design software (e.g., Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch).
- Understanding of fundamental UI/UX principles and best practices.
- A portfolio demonstrating personal projects or academic work related to UI design, particularly game interfaces.
- Strong communication and collaborative skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
- Passion for video games and an understanding of the Xbox ecosystem.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
- Familiarity with game development pipelines and engines (e.g., Unity, Unreal Engine).
- Experience with motion graphics or animation for UI elements.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards for UI design.
