Key Responsibilities
- Actively participate in paid training programs to learn pharmacy operations and procedures.
- Assist pharmacists and certified pharmacy technicians in dispensing prescription medications.
- Accurately input patient and prescription information into the pharmacy system.
- Handle customer inquiries, process sales transactions, and maintain a clean and organized pharmacy area.
- Stock and maintain inventory, ensuring proper rotation and storage of medications.
- Adhere to all legal and company policies regarding patient privacy and medication handling.
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing patient needs and concerns professionally.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong desire to learn and grow within the pharmacy field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous customer service experience in any field.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Bilingual skills (e.g., Spanish) are a plus.
