Job Description
Join the FedEx team as a Truck Rental Agent, specializing in customer service. This role is crucial for our operations in Gary, IN, focusing on assisting customers with truck and equipment rentals, ensuring a smooth and efficient rental process. You will be the primary point of contact for inquiries, reservations, and vehicle check-ins/check-outs, upholding FedEx’s high standards of customer satisfaction. This position offers a dynamic environment and weekly paychecks.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers professionally and assist with truck and equipment rental inquiries.
- Process rental agreements accurately, including reviewing contracts, verifying customer information, and collecting payments.
- Conduct vehicle inspections before and after rentals, documenting any existing damage.
- Educate customers on vehicle operation, safety guidelines, and rental terms and conditions.
- Manage rental reservations, ensuring availability and proper scheduling.
- Resolve customer concerns and complaints efficiently and courteously.
- Maintain a clean and organized rental office and vehicle lot.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams regarding vehicle maintenance and availability.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven customer service experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic computer proficiency (MS Office, rental software).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
