Job Description
As a Promoted Pins Analyst with a focus on Data & Trends, you will be instrumental in optimizing our advertising strategies on Pinterest. You will dive deep into performance data, identify key trends, and provide actionable insights to enhance the effectiveness of our Promoted Pins campaigns. This role requires a keen analytical mind, a passion for data-driven decision-making, and a strong understanding of the digital advertising landscape. You will work closely with marketing, product, and sales teams to translate complex data into clear, compelling narratives that drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets related to Promoted Pins performance.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key metrics and campaign efficacy.
- Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in data to uncover opportunities for optimization and growth.
- Formulate data-backed recommendations for targeting, creative, bidding strategies, and budget allocation on Pinterest.
- Collaborate with marketing and ad operations teams to implement and test new strategies.
- Present findings and insights to stakeholders across various departments in a clear and concise manner.
- Stay up-to-date with Pinterest platform changes, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
- Conduct A/B testing and statistical analysis to validate hypotheses and measure impact.
Required Skills
- Minimum 3 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a similar analytical role, preferably within digital advertising or social media marketing.
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, complex formulas).
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex data to non-technical audiences.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
- Direct experience with Pinterest advertising platforms and analytics.
- Familiarity with other social media advertising platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat).
- Experience with statistical analysis software (e.g., R, Python for data analysis).
- Understanding of digital marketing KPIs and measurement methodologies.
