Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Cross-Docking Associate to join our fast-paced logistics team in Pearland, Texas. In this role, you will be crucial to our supply chain, responsible for the rapid transfer of goods from inbound to outbound shipments without long-term storage. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to thrive in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment. Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently unload inbound shipments and sort products according to destination and shipping routes.
- Verify accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments by checking product codes, quantities, and condition.
- Quickly and accurately transfer goods from receiving docks to dispatch areas for immediate loading onto outbound vehicles.
- Operate various material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks and forklifts (training provided if necessary), safely and proficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow and timely processing of all shipments.
- Identify and report any discrepancies, damages, or potential issues with inventory or equipment.
- Participate in regular inventory counts and quality control checks as required.
- Adapt to changing priorities and workloads in a dynamic logistics setting.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 49 pounds consistently, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
- Basic computer literacy for scanning and data entry tasks.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and reach for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or cross-docking environment.
- Experience operating material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jack, forklift).
