Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Appliance Fulfillment Staff member to join our team in Costa Mesa. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the efficient and accurate handling of large appliances, from receiving shipments to preparing them for customer pickup or delivery. Your focus will be on maintaining inventory accuracy, ensuring products are handled safely, and contributing to a seamless customer experience within our big box retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately receive, inspect, and organize incoming appliance shipments, verifying against purchase orders.
- Safely unload appliances from trucks and transport them to designated storage areas.
- Efficiently pick and stage appliances for customer pickups and scheduled deliveries, ensuring proper documentation.
- Operate various warehouse equipment, including pallet jacks and hand trucks, following all safety guidelines.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe fulfillment area, adhering to company standards and protocols.
- Assist customers with the safe loading of appliances into their vehicles, providing courteous service.
- Participate in regular inventory counts and assist in resolving any discrepancies.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety regulations and loss prevention.
- Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
Required Skills
- Ability to safely lift and maneuver heavy objects, up to 75 pounds, on a regular basis.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Basic computer proficiency for inventory tracking and order processing.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with colleagues and customers.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, physically demanding retail and warehouse environment.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a warehouse, logistics, retail fulfillment, or big box retail setting.
- Familiarity with large appliance handling, storage, and safety procedures.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
