Job Description
Are you passionate about fashion, organization, and making a positive impact? Goodwill Industries of North Florida is seeking enthusiastic and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as Clothing Sorters. This gig is perfect for ‘Fashion Conscious Organizers’ who enjoy a fast-paced environment and have a keen eye for quality and style. You will play a crucial role in our mission by meticulously sorting, categorizing, and preparing donated clothing items for our retail stores, ensuring that our customers find valuable and fashionable items. This is an on-site position located in our Jacksonville processing center.
Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently sort and categorize large volumes of donated clothing, accessories, and textiles by brand, quality, type, and size.
- Inspect items for quality, damage, and cleanliness, adhering to established donation acceptance guidelines.
- Identify valuable and designer items for special processing.
- Properly hang, fold, or prepare items for pricing and display in retail stores.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily sorting targets and maintain workflow efficiency.
- Contribute to a positive and productive team atmosphere.
Required Skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks
- Reliable and punctual attendance
- Basic understanding of clothing types and fashion trends

- Previous experience in retail, merchandising, or inventory management
- A genuine interest in fashion and sustainability
- Experience working in a non-profit or donation-based environment
