Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Compensation & Benefits / Rewards Manager to join our Human Resources team in Middlesbrough. This pivotal role will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing competitive compensation and benefits programs that attract, retain, and motivate top talent across our operations. The successful candidate will play a strategic role in ensuring our rewards philosophy aligns with business objectives and market best practices, while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. This position offers sponsorship for eligible international candidates.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement comprehensive compensation and benefits strategies, policies, and programs in alignment with SABIC's global rewards philosophy and local market conditions.
- Conduct thorough market analysis, salary benchmarking, and participate in compensation surveys to ensure competitive pay structures.
- Manage annual compensation review processes, including salary increases, bonus schemes, and long-term incentive plans.
- Oversee the administration of all employee benefits programs, including health, welfare, retirement, and other fringe benefits.
- Ensure all compensation and benefits programs comply with local regulations and internal governance policies.
- Collaborate with HR Business Partners and senior leadership to provide expert advice and guidance on reward-related matters.
- Develop and deliver effective communication strategies to enhance employee understanding and appreciation of their total rewards package.
- Analyze trends in compensation and benefits, evaluating the effectiveness of existing programs and recommending improvements.
- Manage vendor relationships for benefits administration, surveys, and related services.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations on compensation and benefits data for management.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Compensation & Benefits or Rewards management.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing C&B programs in a multinational environment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven recommendations.
- Expert knowledge of compensation and benefits best practices, trends, and legal compliance in the UK.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems (e.g., SAP SuccessFactors, Workday) and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CCP, GRP) in Compensation, Benefits, or Human Resources.
- Experience with global mobility and international assignment compensation.
- Previous experience in the chemical, manufacturing, or heavy industry sectors.
- Experience working with a diverse, international workforce.
