Job Description

As a FedEx Supply Chain Planner at Google, you will play a critical role in optimizing our intricate global supply chain for various technology products, from consumer devices to data center infrastructure. You will be responsible for strategically planning and managing the flow of goods through FedEx’s network, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery, and maintaining robust inventory levels. This position requires a keen analytical mind, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners. You will identify opportunities for process improvement, drive efficiencies, and contribute to Google’s continuous innovation in supply chain management within the fast-paced tech industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive supply chain plans utilizing FedEx services for various Google products.
  • Monitor inventory levels, forecast demand, and manage replenishment strategies to meet business objectives.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, sales, and logistics teams to ensure seamless product launches and ongoing operations.
  • Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, potential risks, and opportunities for optimization and cost reduction.
  • Manage relationships with FedEx account representatives and other third-party logistics (3PL) providers.
  • Implement and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure supply chain efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Resolve complex logistics issues, including shipment delays, customs clearance, and damage claims.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in supply chain processes and systems.
  • Prepare and present reports on supply chain performance to stakeholders.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in supply chain planning, logistics, or operations, specifically with FedEx services.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in supply chain planning software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience in the technology or electronics manufacturing industry.
  • Familiarity with Google's product ecosystem and global logistics challenges.
  • Certification in supply chain management (e.g., APICS CSCP, CPIM).
  • Experience with advanced planning systems (APS) or enterprise resource planning (ERP) software.
