Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Fleet Transition Driver with a primary focus on new car delivery. In this role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting new vehicles between various locations, including dealerships, customer sites, and company depots. This position requires excellent driving skills, a strong commitment to vehicle care, and the ability to maintain accurate delivery records. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that our new fleet additions and customer deliveries are handled with the utmost professionalism and punctuality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate various types of vehicles for new car delivery and fleet transition.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on all vehicles to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of new vehicles to specified locations.
  • Maintain detailed logs of vehicle movements, mileage, and fuel consumption.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, fleet managers, and customers regarding delivery status.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
  • Assist with basic vehicle preparation and inspection before and after transport.
  • Report any vehicle defects, accidents, or incidents promptly.

Required Skills

  • Valid Class E or equivalent driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Proven ability to operate various vehicle types safely and proficiently.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic knowledge of vehicle mechanics for pre-trip inspections.
  • Physical ability to enter and exit vehicles frequently and perform light vehicle maintenance tasks.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Experience in automotive logistics or vehicle delivery services.
  • Familiarity with GPS devices and route optimization software.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
