Job Description

Are you looking for an opportunity to kickstart a career in a dynamic warehouse environment? Cargill is seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as a Forklift Spotter / Safety Assistant. No prior forklift license is required – we will provide comprehensive on-the-job training to ensure you succeed in this crucial role. You will play a vital part in maintaining a safe working environment and supporting our material handling operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a dedicated spotter for forklift operators, providing clear and concise guidance during material movement, loading, and unloading activities.
  • Monitor designated work areas for pedestrian and vehicle traffic, identifying potential hazards and ensuring safety protocols are followed.
  • Communicate effectively with forklift operators, team members, and supervisors to coordinate movements and prevent accidents.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment, including identifying and reporting any spills, obstructions, or unsafe conditions.
  • Participate in regular safety meetings and training sessions to enhance knowledge and adherence to company safety standards.
  • Perform pre-shift safety checks on equipment and report any malfunctions or defects immediately.
  • Support general warehouse operations as needed, contributing to overall team efficiency and productivity.
