Job Description

As a Ground Transportation Partner with a Small Business focus, you will be instrumental in expanding Uber’s presence and impact within local communities by identifying, onboarding, and nurturing relationships with small business owners in the ground transportation sector. This role requires a blend of sales acumen, relationship management skills, and a deep understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities faced by small enterprises. You will be responsible for showcasing the value of partnering with Uber, guiding businesses through the integration process, and ensuring their long-term success on our platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and prospect new small business partners in the ground transportation industry within the assigned territory.
  • Conduct compelling presentations and demonstrations of Uber's partnership benefits and platform capabilities.
  • Negotiate and finalize partnership agreements, ensuring alignment with company objectives and partner needs.
  • Onboard new partners, providing comprehensive training and support to facilitate a smooth integration with Uber's systems.
  • Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with small business owners, acting as their primary point of contact and trusted advisor.
  • Monitor partner performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to optimize their success and satisfaction.
  • Gather feedback from partners to inform product development and service enhancements.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, operations, marketing, and support teams to ensure a seamless partner experience.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and local market dynamics to identify new opportunities.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or partnership management, preferably with a focus on small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong ability to build rapport and trust with diverse business owners.
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach and a passion for problem-solving.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and Google Workspace.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the assigned territory as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Prior experience in the transportation, logistics, or ridesharing industry.
  • Familiarity with the Santa Monica/Los Angeles small business landscape.
