Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and patient Beginner Guitar Instructor to join our growing team. This role is perfect for a skilled guitarist who loves working with new learners and helping them take their first steps into the world of music. You will be responsible for teaching individual and small group lessons to students primarily at the beginner level, focusing on fundamental techniques, basic chords, rhythm, and simple songs. If you have a solid understanding of guitar, a friendly demeanor, and a desire to inspire, we encourage you to apply!
Key Responsibilities
- Provide engaging and effective one-on-one and small group guitar lessons to beginner students.
- Develop and adapt lesson plans to suit the learning styles and goals of individual students.
- Teach fundamental guitar techniques, including posture, holding the instrument, basic chords, strumming patterns, and simple melodies.
- Introduce basic music theory concepts relevant to beginner guitarists.
- Foster a positive, encouraging, and fun learning environment.
- Communicate regularly with students and parents regarding progress and upcoming events.
- Maintain a clean and organized teaching space.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in acoustic and/or electric guitar.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience and a passion for teaching beginner musicians.
- Ability to break down complex concepts into understandable steps.
- Reliability and strong organizational skills.
- A positive and enthusiastic attitude.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience teaching guitar (even informal tutoring).
