Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Transport patients safely and comfortably via wheelchairs, gurneys, or beds between departments (e.g., from rooms to radiology, therapy, or discharge areas).
  • Assist with moving equipment, supplies, and specimens throughout the hospital as needed.
  • Deliver and retrieve linen, medical charts, and other materials to designated areas.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of transport equipment and storage areas.
  • Respond promptly to requests from nursing staff and other departments.
  • Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety guidelines, including infection control protocols.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, families, and staff.
  • Provide basic assistance and comfort to patients during transport, ensuring their dignity and privacy.
