Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Hotel Porter to join our welcoming team at The Randolph Hotel. This is an immediate start, full-time position offering weekly pay, ideal for individuals who are dedicated, customer-focused, and eager to contribute to a prestigious hotel environment. As a Hotel Porter, you will be the first point of contact for many of our guests, playing a crucial role in ensuring their stay is comfortable, convenient, and memorable from the moment they arrive.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with luggage handling, both check-in and check-out.
  • Escort guests to their rooms, providing assistance with amenities and hotel information.
  • Assist with the delivery and collection of guest items, including dry cleaning, mail, and packages.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the hotel lobby, entrance, and other public areas.
  • Provide information and directions regarding hotel facilities, local attractions, and transportation.
  • Handle guest inquiries and requests efficiently and courteously, escalating issues when necessary.
  • Support other hotel departments, such as front desk or concierge, as needed.
  • Ensure security protocols are followed and report any suspicious activities.
  • Assist with setting up and breaking down meeting rooms or event spaces.
  • Operate and maintain hotel vehicles for guest transportation or errands, if required.

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical fitness to handle luggage and stand/walk for extended periods.

  • Knowledge of the Oxford area and local attractions.
  • Valid UK driving license with a clean record (desirable for certain duties).
