Job Description

Panera Bread in Broad Ripple Village is seeking an energetic and reliable Morning Bakery Runner to join our bustling team. This role is crucial to the smooth operation of our bakery-café, ensuring our fresh products are ready for our customers each morning. Key Responsibilities
- Assist bakers with morning setup and production support.
- Efficiently stock display cases with freshly baked bread, pastries, and other products.
- Ensure all products are accurately labeled and presented according to Panera Bread standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery area, including equipment and workstations.
- Assist with receiving and organizing daily deliveries of ingredients and supplies.
- Support front-of-house staff by ensuring adequate stock of bakery items.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines diligently.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure a seamless morning operation.
Required Skills
- Ability to work early morning shifts, typically starting between 4:00 AM – 6:00 AM.
- Strong sense of reliability and punctuality.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good physical stamina, including the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of food safety principles (training provided).
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a bakery, food service, or retail environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A passion for fresh food and a positive attitude.
