Job Description
Are you a skilled automotive technician with an eye for detail and a passion for making vehicles look their best? Kwik Fit is seeking a dedicated Mobile Rim Restoration Specialist to join our dynamic team in Sheffield. This unique role involves travelling to customer locations across the Sheffield area, providing expert on-site restoration services for damaged alloy wheels. You will be responsible for transforming scuffed, scratched, and curb-damaged rims back to their pristine condition, enhancing the aesthetics and value of our customers’ vehicles. This is an excellent opportunity for an independent and meticulous individual to deliver high-quality craftsmanship directly to our clientele, ensuring every wheel leaves a lasting impression.
Key Responsibilities
- Travel efficiently to customer locations throughout Sheffield and surrounding areas with a fully equipped mobile workshop.
- Assess the extent of alloy wheel damage, identifying suitable repair techniques.
- Perform comprehensive rim restoration, including cleaning, sanding, filling, painting, and lacquering.
- Utilize specialized tools and equipment to achieve 'like new' finishes on a variety of alloy wheel types.
- Maintain a high standard of workmanship and attention to detail, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Manage inventory of materials and supplies within the mobile unit.
- Provide excellent customer service, clearly explaining the restoration process and managing expectations.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and environmental regulations.
- Complete necessary paperwork and service reports accurately.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in automotive detailing, paint repair, or alloy wheel refurbishment.
- Demonstrable knowledge of different rim materials and restoration techniques.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a steady hand for intricate work.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a mobile schedule effectively.
- Full UK driving license with a clean record.
- Proficiency in using power tools and specialized repair equipment.
