Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Private Duty Caregivers to provide one-on-one home care services to our cherished clients in Santa Rosa and surrounding areas. Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Assist with safe mobility, transfers, and light exercise programs as prescribed.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding, ensuring dietary needs are met.
- Perform light housekeeping duties, laundry, and maintain a clean and safe client environment.
- Provide medication reminders and assist clients with appointment scheduling.
- Offer companionship, engaging clients in stimulating conversation and activities.
- Observe and accurately report any changes in client's health, behavior, or condition to the care team.
- Document care services provided thoroughly and in a timely manner according to BrightStar Care policies.
Required Skills
- Minimum 6 months of verifiable caregiving experience (personal or professional).
- Valid Driver's License and reliable, insured transportation.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Current CPR certification (Adult, Child, and Infant) and First Aid certification.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated compassionate, patient, and highly reliable nature.
- Physical ability to safely lift, transfer, and assist clients as needed.
- Adherence to all client privacy and HIPAA regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) certification.
- Experience caring for clients with dementia, Alzheimer's, or other chronic conditions.
- Proficiency in a second language, particularly Spanish.
- Experience using electronic care documentation systems or mobile applications.
