Job Description

Join the GFL Environmental team in Grande Prairie as a Recycling Plant Quality Sorter. This is an immediate hire opportunity for dedicated individuals committed to environmental stewardship. As a Quality Sorter, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and effective processing of recyclable materials. Your attention to detail will help us meet our recycling targets and contribute to a cleaner, greener future. We provide all necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to ensure your safety on the job. No prior experience is required; we offer comprehensive on-the-job training.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sort various recyclable materials (e.g., paper, plastic, glass, metal) on a conveyor belt.
  • Identify and remove contaminants or non-recyclable items from the material stream.
  • Ensure sorted materials meet quality standards for further processing.
  • Maintain a clean and safe workstation.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
  • Assist with general plant cleanup and maintenance as needed.
  • Work effectively as part of a team to achieve daily production goals.
