Job Description
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Shopify QA Tester to join our growing team in Brossard. In this on-site role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of Shopify stores, custom themes, and applications developed for our diverse client base. You will perform thorough manual testing, identify and document bugs, and collaborate closely with developers and project managers to deliver flawless e-commerce solutions. This position is critical to maintaining our high standards and ensuring an exceptional user experience across all client projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive manual testing of Shopify stores, themes, and custom applications across various devices and browsers.
- Identify, document, and track bugs, glitches, and performance issues using a bug tracking system (e.g., Jira, Asana).
- Collaborate effectively with developers, designers, and project managers to understand project requirements and ensure quality throughout the development lifecycle.
- Develop and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on functional specifications and client requirements.
- Verify cross-browser and cross-device compatibility to ensure a consistent user experience.
- Ensure all developed features meet client specifications, design guidelines, and industry best practices.
- Actively participate in daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and other Agile ceremonies, providing valuable feedback on product quality and potential improvements.
- Contribute to improving overall QA processes, methodologies, and best practices within the team.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in manual software testing, with a strong focus on web and e-commerce platforms.
- Solid understanding and hands-on experience with the Shopify platform (admin, themes, apps, storefront functionality).
- Proficiency with bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, Trello) and test management software.
- Ability to create clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans, test cases, and bug reports.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French.
- Familiarity with various web browsers and mobile operating systems for testing purposes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Basic understanding of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Knowledge of specific Shopify apps, integrations, and third-party services.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
