Job Description

Join the Amazon team as a Small Parcel Delivery Driver and become a crucial part of our mission to deliver smiles to customers every day. In this fast-paced and dynamic role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently delivering packages to homes and businesses across Fontana and surrounding areas. Key Responsibilities

  • Safely drive and operate a delivery vehicle, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and company policies.
  • Load and unload packages from the delivery vehicle, organizing them for efficient delivery.
  • Deliver packages to customers on assigned routes in a timely and professional manner.
  • Interact with customers in a friendly and professional capacity when making deliveries.
  • Utilize handheld devices for routing information, package scanning, and customer delivery confirmation.
  • Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the delivery vehicle.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to meet daily delivery quotas and goals.
  • Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines, maintaining a clean driving record.

Required Skills

  • Valid US Driver's License (Class C or equivalent).
  • Clean driving record for the past 3 years.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs (23 kg).
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills to navigate routes efficiently.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions and tolerate frequent standing, walking, bending, and stooping.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 6+ months of experience in a delivery driving role or similar.
  • Experience operating a large commercial vehicle (e.g., cargo van).
  • Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and routing software.
  • Demonstrated customer service experience.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
