Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Social Media Safety Screener – Online Content Guard to join our team in Wesley Chapel, Florida. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for reviewing user-generated content across various social media platforms to ensure compliance with community guidelines and policies. Your primary objective will be to identify and action content that violates established rules, including but not limited to hate speech, harassment, misinformation, and graphic content. This position requires a strong ethical compass, excellent judgment, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and sensitive environment, contributing directly to fostering a safer online experience for millions of users.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and moderate user-generated content on social media platforms for policy violations.
  • Accurately apply content policies and guidelines to various types of media (text, image, video).
  • Identify and escalate complex or ambiguous content issues to senior moderators or specialized teams.
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy and efficiency in content review.
  • Participate in regular training sessions to stay updated on policy changes and new content trends.
  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
  • Document and report findings clearly and concisely.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of current social media trends and online communities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to make sound judgments independently and under pressure.
  • Proficiency in using web-based tools and applications.
  • Comfortable reviewing sensitive and potentially disturbing content.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in content moderation, customer service, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with various social media platforms and their respective community guidelines.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Communications, Psychology, Criminal Justice).
