Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Truck Rental Counter Agent. In this dynamic role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, assisting them with their truck rental needs. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure a smooth and positive rental experience from start to finish. This involves understanding customer requirements, explaining rental agreements, processing transactions, and providing solutions to any inquiries or issues that may arise. Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with truck rental inquiries and reservations.
- Process rental agreements, verify driver information, and explain rental terms and conditions clearly.
- Inspect rental vehicles with customers before and after rentals, documenting any existing damage.
- Handle payments, process receipts, and manage daily cash reconciliation accurately.
- Respond to customer service calls and resolve issues efficiently and professionally.
- Educate customers on vehicle features, safety guidelines, and optional services like insurance.
- Maintain a clean and organized counter area and ensure inventory of rental documents is stocked.
- Collaborate with fleet maintenance to ensure vehicles are ready for rental.
- Promote add-on services and products to enhance the customer experience.
Required Skills
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and point-of-sale systems.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in vehicle rental, automotive, or hospitality industries.
- Experience with sales or upselling additional services.
- Bilingual capabilities (e.g., Spanish) are a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework preferred.
