Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Building Maintenance Technician with a strong focus on electrical and HVAC systems to join our team in Humble, Texas. This stable position is crucial for ensuring the continuous and efficient operation of our facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance duties to keep our building systems, particularly electrical and HVAC, in optimal working condition. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues, performing preventative maintenance, and responding to service requests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance on all electrical systems, including lighting, wiring, power distribution, and control panels.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems, including air conditioners, heaters, ventilation units, and refrigeration equipment.
  • Conduct diagnostic tests to identify electrical and mechanical faults in building systems.
  • Execute repairs and replacements of faulty components, ensuring adherence to safety standards and building codes.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory.
  • Collaborate with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs and projects when necessary.
  • Ensure all building systems comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls and address critical issues efficiently.
  • Assist with general building maintenance tasks as needed, including minor plumbing, carpentry, and painting.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in electrical system maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Strong proficiency in HVAC system diagnosis, repair, and preventative maintenance.
  • Knowledge of building codes, electrical safety standards, and environmental regulations.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Proficiency with various hand and power tools relevant to electrical and HVAC work.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications

  • HVAC certification (e.g., EPA Section 608 Certification).
  • Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent certification.
  • Associate’s degree or vocational training in Electrical, HVAC, or a related field.
  • Experience with building automation systems (BAS).
  • Familiarity with industrial facility maintenance.
