Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Vet Clinic Helper to join our dedicated team in Woodbridge, Ontario. This is an an entry-level position perfect for individuals passionate about animal welfare and looking to start a career in veterinary medicine. You will receive comprehensive animal handling training and support, learning essential skills to assist our veterinarians and veterinary technicians. Key Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with patient handling and restraint during examinations and procedures.
- Clean and sterilize examination rooms, surgical instruments, and general clinic areas to maintain a sanitary environment.
- Monitor and care for hospitalized animals, including feeding, watering, walking, and observing changes in their condition.
- Provide general administrative support, such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, and greeting clients.
- Maintain inventory of supplies and assist with restocking.
- Handle and process lab samples as directed.
- Ensure the comfort and safety of all animals in the clinic.

- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical stamina to lift and restrain animals, and stand for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience volunteering or working with animals (e.g., shelters, pet sitting) is a plus but not required.
- Basic understanding of animal behavior.
- First Aid certification.
