Job Description
Are you passionate about e-sports and creating positive, engaging online environments? Riot Games is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Work From Home: E-sports / Gaming Tournament Moderator to join our global team. This is a 100% remote position, allowing you to contribute to the vibrant e-sports community from anywhere with a stable internet connection. As a Tournament Moderator, you will be the frontline support and guardian of fair play and community guidelines across various online gaming tournaments and events. You will ensure smooth operations, resolve disputes, and maintain a respectful atmosphere for all participants.
Key Responsibilities
- Actively monitor live e-sports tournaments and gaming events for adherence to rules and community guidelines.
- Address and resolve player disputes, rule infractions, and behavioral issues promptly and fairly.
- Communicate effectively with players, team captains, and tournament organizers to provide clarity and solutions.
- Document incidents and resolutions accurately for reporting and continuous improvement.
- Contribute to the refinement of moderation policies and tournament rules.
- Assist with pre-tournament checks and post-tournament wrap-ups.
- Provide real-time support to participants through designated communication channels.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and impartiality in all interactions.
Required Skills
- Strong passion for e-sports and competitive gaming.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proven ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a distributed team.
- Familiarity with various online communication platforms (Discord, Twitch chat, etc.).
- Reliable internet connection and a suitable remote work setup.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in online community moderation or e-sports administration.
- In-depth knowledge of Riot Games' titles (e.g., League of Legends, VALORANT) and their competitive scenes.
- Experience with tournament software and broadcasting platforms.
- Multilingual abilities are a plus.
- Certification in online moderation or conflict resolution.
