BayCare Health System is seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as a Weekend Disability Aide in New Port Richey, FL. As a Weekend Disability Aide, you will be a vital part of our mission to deliver high-quality, compassionate care. Your work will directly enhance the quality of life for our clients, ensuring they receive the support they need to live life to the fullest. A valid DBS check (or equivalent background check) is required for this role, ensuring the safety and trust of those we serve.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting clients with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication reminders.
- Providing companionship and engaging clients in recreational and social activities.
- Supporting clients in community integration and appointments.
- Monitoring and reporting changes in clients' health, behavior, or needs to the appropriate team members.
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized living environment.
- Documenting care provided and observations accurately and promptly.
- Adhering to all safety protocols and care plans.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Demonstrated compassion, patience, and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Capable of performing light physical tasks, as needed.
- Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check (DBS or equivalent) and drug screening.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in caregiving, disability support, or a related field.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Basic knowledge of disability support principles.
