Job Description
We are seeking a meticulous and organized Remote Game Sorter with a strong focus on database and records management. In this 100% remote role, you will be crucial in maintaining the integrity and accessibility of our extensive game asset database. This involves sorting, categorizing, and ensuring accurate data entry for a wide variety of game-related content, from development assets to historical records. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a passion for gaming, and a solid understanding of database principles.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately sort and categorize digital game assets, development files, and related documentation within our proprietary database systems.
- Perform detailed data entry, ensuring all records are complete, current, and correctly formatted.
- Verify data accuracy and consistency, identifying and resolving discrepancies or errors.
- Maintain and update database records, including metadata, tags, and descriptive information.
- Assist in developing and refining data organization schemas and best practices.
- Generate reports on database content and status as required by various departments.
- Collaborate with development, archiving, and IT teams to ensure seamless data flow and accessibility.
- Adhere to strict data security and confidentiality protocols.
Required Skills
- Proven experience with data entry and database management systems (e.g., SQL, Access, proprietary systems).
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively in a remote environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic understanding of gaming terminology and genres.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ year of experience in data management, library science, or a similar role.
- Familiarity with digital asset management (DAM) systems.
- Passion for video games and the gaming industry.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) is a plus.
