As a QA Tester, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality, functionality, and overall player experience of our upcoming game titles. Key Responsibilities
- Execute test plans and test cases thoroughly to identify bugs, glitches, and usability issues across various platforms.
- Document and report defects clearly and concisely, including steps to reproduce, expected results, and actual results using internal bug tracking systems.
- Collaborate closely with development teams, designers, and other QA testers to understand game features and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Provide constructive feedback on game features, mechanics, and overall player experience.
- Verify bug fixes and perform regression testing to ensure previously identified issues remain resolved.
- Participate in daily stand-ups and team meetings, contributing to an agile development process.
- Learn and adapt to new tools, technologies, and testing methodologies specific to game development.
Required Skills
- Recent graduate (within the last 12 months) with a degree in Computer Science, Game Design, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Demonstrated passion for video games and a strong understanding of various game genres.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical problem-solving skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Basic familiarity with bug tracking software (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla) is a plus.
- Proficiency in using gaming consoles, PCs, and mobile devices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with game testing through personal projects, game jams, or volunteer work.
- Understanding of different testing methodologies (e.g., functional, regression, performance).
- Familiarity with agile development processes.
- Basic scripting knowledge (e.g., Python, C#) is a bonus.
