Job Description
Are you a passionate gamer looking to break into the exciting world of video game development? Amazon Games is seeking enthusiastic and detail-oriented Summer Break Game Testers for a 3-month contract. This is a unique opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in quality assurance, working alongside industry professionals to identify bugs, provide feedback, and ensure the highest quality of our upcoming titles. You’ll contribute directly to the player experience, helping us deliver polished and enjoyable games. If you love gaming and have a keen eye for detail, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities
- Execute test plans and identify software defects in pre-release game builds.
- Document, track, and retest bugs using internal bug tracking systems.
- Provide clear and concise feedback on game design, usability, and overall player experience.
- Collaborate with development teams to understand game features and testing requirements.
- Maintain a high level of communication and teamwork within the QA department.
- Contribute to the improvement of testing processes and methodologies.
Required Skills
- Currently enrolled in a college or university program (any major).
- Demonstrated passion for video games and familiarity with various genres.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with common software applications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with different gaming platforms (PC, console, mobile).
- Basic understanding of software development life cycles or QA principles.
- Prior experience in game testing or similar analytical roles (personal projects count!).
- Familiarity with bug tracking software (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).
