Job Description
Join Microsoft as a Diversity & Inclusion Assistant with a remote HR focus, playing a crucial role in supporting our global D&I initiatives. This position is 100% remote and involves providing administrative, logistical, and project support to our Diversity & Inclusion team within Human Resources. You will contribute to creating an inclusive workplace by assisting with program coordination, data management, communication, and event planning. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about fostering an equitable and diverse work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and logistical support for D&I programs and initiatives.
- Assist in organizing and scheduling D&I events, workshops, and training sessions.
- Manage and update D&I-related data, reports, and dashboards, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Coordinate internal communications related to D&I, including drafting announcements, newsletters, and intranet content.
- Support the D&I team with calendar management, travel arrangements (if applicable), and expense reporting.
- Help track progress on D&I goals and metrics, preparing summaries for leadership.
- Research best practices in diversity, equity, and inclusion to inform internal strategies.
- Collaborate with various HR functions and business groups to integrate D&I principles.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 1 year of administrative or HR support experience.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
- Demonstrated passion for diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
- High level of discretion and ability to handle confidential information.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience working in a large, global organization.
- Familiarity with HRIS or D&I tracking systems.
- Project coordination experience.
