Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and physically fit Loading Dock Operative to join our dynamic team in Wesley Chapel, Florida. This role is crucial to our logistics operations, involving the safe and efficient handling of freight on our loading docks. Key Responsibilities

  • Safely load and unload freight using appropriate manual and mechanical methods.
  • Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks (training provided if needed).
  • Verify incoming and outgoing shipments against manifests, ensuring accuracy and documenting discrepancies.
  • Organize and stack materials on pallets or in designated storage areas.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment on the loading dock.
  • Adhere strictly to all company safety protocols and transportation regulations.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.

Required Skills

  • Ability to consistently lift and move heavy objects up to 75 lbs.
  • Basic literacy and numeracy skills to read manifests and labels.
  • Strong attention to detail for verifying shipments.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • High level of reliability and punctuality.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a warehouse, logistics, or loading dock environment.
  • Forklift operator certification or experience operating similar equipment.
  • Familiarity with DOT safety regulations and warehousing best practices.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
